Colour Coded: Purple

Purple has a pretty impressive heritage.  The colour of Power & Passion, Royalty & Religion and Magic & Mystery.  In terms of decorating, this noble palette it is very versatile.  Warmed up with red tones or cooled down with blues.  I have collated some looks where I think it’s used well.  From ethereal lilacs & lavenders to rich aubergines & plums and every shade in between.  Although stepped in a history of wealth & wisdom I think purple is a little polarising and not to everybody’s tastes.   If you are going to use it just make sure you ‘reign’ it in.
