Property Profile: London Home of Photographer Debi Treloar

When I first came across this home it was lust at immediate sight.  A true Bohemian Rhapsody. It’s a veritable vintage treasure trove.  Debi says she has a passion for collecting odds and sods from fleamarkets and antique stores and clearly she has the knack of bringing them together to create an expressive & enchanting yet uncluttered home.  She has used a white base and dressed it up with unique pieces, a mix of pattern, colour and textures and beautiful & bold finds to create a cohesive, stylish and eclectic chic statement.  Check out her website here

Property Profile: Home of Designer Marie Olsson Nylander

I am in lust with the aesthetic of this Eclectic Home belonging to Swedish Interior Designer Marie Olsson Nylander.  It’s a great example of how you can successfully combine numerous decor styles.  In this home it is like there is a marriage of Vintage + Boho + Ethnic + Industrial + Rustic + a wee bit of locational Scandi thrown in.  Phew!   Most of all, I love how it is utterly + effortlessly stylish but also totally family friendly.

It also serves as amazing inspiration to me.  It’s a great reminder that when buying things for your dream home you don’t need to worry about the genre or “matchyness” of the item you just have to adore it.  I think that although Marie obviously has innate style each piece in her home is clearly collected with love + each piece tells a story.

Lust Have: Mix & Match Chairs

I’m pretty sure this trend was born purely out of the frustration of finding just 1 or 2 a-mazing chairs in a thrift store or Trade Me.  But who only needs 1 chair around the table? Whatever the reason it’s one of my favourite vintage eclectic looks for a dining room. It perfectly blends character & design.  I love that each chair has its own personality and history and that it becomes a conversation starter on where each piece was found & foraged.  In addition to being a dinner party talking point it also looks fantastic when done well.  Whether you like the look of same colour/different shape, vice versa or another combo entirely here are a few great pick n mix treats.
