Property Profile: London Home of Photographer Debi Treloar

When I first came across this home it was lust at immediate sight.  A true Bohemian Rhapsody. It’s a veritable vintage treasure trove.  Debi says she has a passion for collecting odds and sods from fleamarkets and antique stores and clearly she has the knack of bringing them together to create an expressive & enchanting yet uncluttered home.  She has used a white base and dressed it up with unique pieces, a mix of pattern, colour and textures and beautiful & bold finds to create a cohesive, stylish and eclectic chic statement.  Check out her website here

50’s Pastel Perfection: Kitchen Love

I really love this Kitchen.  Inspired by the 50’s  – it is Pastel Retro meets Industrial Cool.  It makes fantastic use of a limited and awkward space.  The perfect blend of form + function.  Check out the fantastic blogger whom it belongs to at Sukkertoy for Oyet

ON TREND: FEATHERS

Feathers are no longer just for the birds.  Featuring in textiles, as light fittings and used as pretty accessories, they are a big trend in the decor world.  One of my favoured ways to incorporate feathers into the home though is the infamous Cameroon feather JuJu hat.  Originally worn by African tribal chiefs and dignitaries they feature feathers beautifully woven onto a raffia base and they have the ability to add colour, texture & interest to a space.  Here are some of my favourite uses of Feathers.

PROPERTY PROFILE: Capetown Summer House

I am such a lover of White on White – especially when used in a Holiday Home.  This gorgeous Modern Mediterranean-esque home in Cape Town, South Africa is perfectly designed for the beachside lifestyle.  With its spacious, light and airy rooms and indoor/outdoor flow, plenty of Rest & Relaxation and Fun & Frivolity happens here I imagine .
